Behice Ergen
Behice Ergen is the founding partner of Ergen & Sharif, Immigration Specialists. She completed a four year degree in Law (European legal studies, LLB) and obtained an upper second class honours degree. She studied at the Universite Paris X Nanterre from 2001 to 2002 obtaining a 'Diplome D'Etudes Juridiques Francaises' and speaks fluent Turkish with a good working knowledge of the French language.
Behice completed her legal practice course at the College of Law in London in 2004 and commenced work as a caseworker at Noden & Company Solicitors, a specialist immigration firm. She soon became a Legal Services Commission (LSC) accredited level two senior immigration advisor.
She worked in the Immigration Department of a reputable, large sized firm and undertook immigration and human rights electives on her professional skills course becoming a trainee supervisor.
Behice is knowledgeable in all aspects of Immigration and human rights law having studied the subject at University (both in the UK and in France) and on the Legal Practice Course. She is currently accredited to OISC level three and undertakes advocacy work. She is a (non-practising) solicitor.
Behice has a wide variety of experience in all areas of immigration law with a particular interest in Ankara agreements, post study work applications and entry clearance appeals. Her unwavering attitude and commitment to her work has gained Behice an excellent reputation in her area of expertise.
Shwan Sharif
Shwan Sharif is a founding partner of Ergen & Sharif. In 1999 he received his B.Sc. in Law in Iraq. Upon graduating and obtaining a degree in Law, he began working as criminal lawyer in Baghdad.
In 2003 he obtained a postgraduate Diploma in Law and undertook the Legal Practice Course in 2005, studying for both at the College of Law in London.
His interest in immigration law began while working as a volunteer at Hammersmith law centre in 2004. He is accredited under the LSC scheme as a caseworker. In 2005 He joined Noden & Co Solicitors. In 2006 he joined Lawrence Lupin Solicitors, he has previous experience at another specialist legal practice in London.
He has an extensive knowledge of all aspects of Immigration Law and procedures. He has been practicing immigration law since 2004.
His experience, dedication, and skills are matched only by his commitment to excellence. He has the compassion and understanding to fully help each client. He is aware of the many questions and uncertainties associated with being involved in the legal system. As such, he takes the time to fully explain the process to his clients and answer any questions that they or their families may have.
He also has IT qualifications. Energetic and committed, he has established his own website providing information on immigration matters, and over several years has worked as a volunteer adviser at legal centres in London. He is a member of Amnesty international and liberty.He is fluent in Arabic and Kurdish (Sorani).
