Applicants seeking entry to the UK for the purposes of getting married or entering into a civil partnership will need to satisfy the requirements as laid out in paragraph 56D to 56F of the Immigration Rules. Basically, applicants will need to satisfy the following:
· That you intend to get married or enter into a civil partnership in the UK;
· That you will leave at the end of six months;
· That you have sufficient money to maintain and accommodate yourself without recourse to public funds
Once in the UK, applicants will need to show either their certificate of approval or entry clearance visa at a Registry office. Applicants should provide as much evidence as possible as to the arrangements made, if any, for the wedding/civil partnership ceremony that will take place. Applicants will only usually be granted a period of up to six months in this capacity.
