As of 20 September, UK Border Agency has made new changes to its visa services website. The aim of this is to make improvements and to integrate the visa website into that of the UK Border Agency’s main website.
UK Border Agency claims that the restructuring and the changes made are for the benefit of applicants as the new website makes it easier to locate accurate information regarding an application for a visa to come to the United Kingdom. The new website has a similar style as the main UK Border Agency website; this is for the purpose of helping applicant’s differentiate it from fake websites.

On the 9 of September 2010 the UK Border Agency announced proposals to increase immigration and nationality application fees for all applicants applying to visit, study, work or stay in the UK as of autumn 2010.

The Upper Tribunal (Asylum & Immigration Chamber) on the 23rd July 2010 in the case of FA and AA (PBS: effect of Pankina) Nigeria [2010] UKUT 00304 (IAC) passed judgment on the necessary evidence to be submitted in relation to maintenance funds by applicants under the Points Based System.
