New versions of application forms and guidance

New application forms- version 11/2010

The UK Border Agency have published new versions of all FLR and SET application forms including forms for applications under the points-based system.

The new forms are said to include the following:

-          -Mid-year application fee increases

-          -New option of being able to pay application fees using American Express (Amex)

-          -Additional declaration pages that will allow the UK Border Agency to obtain all the information needed to support applications made in the UK

As of today, 22 November 2010, version 11/2010 of the forms must be used for all application. In correlation to this reference is made to the guidance notes for FLR and SET forms which have been revised and are also known as version 11/2010.

 

 A new version of the Form AN has been published by the UK Border Agency.

 This form is used by applicants who wish to naturalise as a British citizen.

 

New versions of application forms and guidance for PBS Applications.

New versions of application forms for specific Tiers of the Points- Based System were issued by the UK Border Agency on 30 July 2010.

The tiers that are included by this update are:
 

·       Tier 1 (Post-study work)

·       Tier 1 (Investor)

·       Tier 1 (Entrepreneur)

·       Tier 2 (Including all categories)

·       Tier 4 (Child)

·       Tier 5 (Temporary worker)

·       Change of circumstances

·       Dependants of points-based system applicants

These new forms should be used from now on. However, applications made on old versions of each application form will be accepted and assessed normally up to and including 21 August 2010. All applications submitted by 21 August 2010 will be viewed under the new Immigration Rules no matter what version of the application form was used.

Moreover, new instructions in the ‘Charging’ section of the new application was added which includes advice about how to prevent declination of payments when making large or multiple payments using credit cards. To do so, applicants must ensure that their bank is informed about the full payment required prior to the submission of their application.

In addition, new versions of the UK Border Agency’s policy guidance of specific categories of the Points- Based System were published on 30 July 2010. These categories are:

  • Tier 2
  • Tier 5 (Temporary Worker)
  • Dependants of points-based system applicants

All new versions of the application forms and the guidance documents are for applications made on or after 31 July 2010. They are denoted to biometric residence permits instead of identity cards for foreign nationals.
